Mississippi residents, here’s your chance to enhance your storm preparedness! The Residential Safe Room Grant Program, funded by MEMA and FEMA, is offering reimbursement for the installation of qualifying safe rooms or storm shelters. If you live in one of the designated counties impacted by severe storms in 2019 or 2020, you may be eligible to apply.
Application Period: February 10 – March 10, 2025
Who Qualifies?
- Homeowners in eligible counties
- Those installing a new safe room that meets FEMA P-320 and ICC 500 guidelines
- Primary residences only—rental properties and multi-family units do not qualify
